After beating the Pharaohs of Egypt in the Group D opening match of the African Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will hope to fly over Sudan on Saturday.

Welcome to Inside AFCON 2021 on Guardian TV. I am Dennis Erezi.

Nigeria currently tops Group D with 3 points after their win over Egypt who are rock bottom. Nigeria’s next opponents Sudan and Guinea-Bissau are on one point each in the 2nd and 3rd position after their goalless draw on Tuesday.

After the first round of games, we turn our attention to the next match between Nigeria and Sudan.

As usual, I have Ifeanyi Ibeh with me to analyse what to expect from the Super Eagles who are flying high at the moment and the Sudanese team who should not be underrated. Welcome, Ifeanyi.

The biggest game is gone with 3 points in the bag for Nigeria. What should Nigeria’s approach be in the game against Sudan?

In the match against Guinea Bissau, we saw a Sudanese side with some prospects in attack and in defense, do they have the arsenal to hunt this Nigerian side who can sometimes be complacent?

Knowing that Egypt majors their playing style to techniques, which is way different from a physical and aggresive Sudanese side, how should Eguavoen set up against Sudan?

Ifeanyi, if this match ends up being what could be a cagey game, where do you expect the match to be lost and won for either sides?

Your prediction??

Thanks for your insights as always, Ifeanyi.

Can the Super Eagles continue their winning run against Sudan or do you see Sudan causing an upset against the three-time AFCON champions? Let us know have your predictions in the comment section.
