A week after Akari Estate, in the Soka area of Ibadan was engulfed by fire, another tragedy occurred yesterday, when shops in Sango were gutted and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed.
The Guardian learnt that over 20 shops were affected in the blaze, said to have been caused by an electric spark.
Some affected shop owners described the incident as painful, lamenting that their only source of livelihood had been destroyed.
