Air Peace has resumed flight operations in Makurdi, Benue State, following a two-year interval after it launched Makurdi.

The airline is scheduled to operate the Abuja to Makurdi route thrice a week.

Air Peace made its debut commercial flight into Makurdi on December 7, 2020. But shortly after, it suspended operations till yesterday with its Embraer E 145 aircraft from Abuja to Makurdi.

The Guardian learnt that the resumption of commercial flight operations at the Makurdi Airport was a result of a tripartite agreement between the Benue government, Air Peace Nigeria Limited and Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Governor Samuel Ortom, in company of some Benue government top functionaries, performed the resumption ceremony at the Civil Wing of the Makurdi Airport, yesterday.
