MANAGING Director/Chief Executive Officer, Ama-Dove International Education, Michael Adekanle, has cautioned Nigerian youths seeking to study abroad to be wary of the choice of schools they make and courses to study.

He said the caution became necessary following the steady rise in the number of quacks that have filtered into the burgeoning international education market.

Adekanle, who said his firm was well placed to facilitate genuine placements of Nigerian students in foreign universities, added that the firm was also adept at offering professional advise that would steer interested Nigerians on the right part.

Ama-Dove has links with schools in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, among others, and Adekanle said this wide array of contacts make for mass and fast turnaround of applications for undergraduate students within very short period of time.

In addition to this, Adekanle said the firm also guides applicants on issues like visa-processing requirements even as it has successfully secured admissions for over 400 Nigerian students in its partner institutions abroad He said the spread of its offices in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Ibadan and Ilorin, makes it easy for parents and prospective students in various parts of the country to access their service with relative ease.

Adekanle commended the brilliance and hard work exhibited by some Nigerian students saying that from the periodic checks done with his international partners, Nigerian students were reported to be performing excellently and some of them have been offered scholarships for further studies.

“Nigerians are dedicated, hardworking and have good orientation,” Adekanle quoted one of the professors in a partner university abroad as saying about Nigerian students. He added that the firm also invites officials of its partner schools abroad to come over and enlighten prospective applicants on admission placements, just as it organises education fair regularly for prospective students.
