Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and its governorship candidate in the April 11 governorship election, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has assured party faithful that President Buhari is conversant with the zonal political sensitivity of the state and would, therefore, ensure balancing in his appointments.

The assurances followed recent media announcement of names of ministerial nominees that allegedly went through security screening and the ensuing protests and enquiries, particularly as the p[resident’s reported actions affects the state.

According to Emerhor, the seeming delay in appointing President’s aides and ministers is as a result of his interest in consulting stakeholders to manage the varying peculiarities and sensitivities in different states.

“President Buhari only recently appointed Dr Ibe Kachikwu, a Deltan from Delta North as Group Managing Director of NNPC,” he said.

“ He is aware the current Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and the current governor of CBN, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, are also from Delta North. I believe being aware of this situation, the President will strive to balance future appointments from Delta State by looking towards the other zones — Delta Central and Delta South.”
