David Adeleke’s Foundation (DAF) founded by Afrobeat star, Davido has recently donated a sum of N237m to orphans across Nigeria. he shared on his social media page.
Davido revealed this in a statement accompanied by an image of the donation as well as appreciating those who have contributed immensely in the act, Davido wrote;
“I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others. Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so. We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria, a tradition that started a few years ago around my birthday. Thank you to everyone who donated. With your help, we are changing lives. This is what I mean when I say We rise by lifting others. These are words in action. God bless you all!”

Mrs. Titi Adebayo, the chair of the DAF Disbursement Committee, would be in-charge the disbursement of the funds. The foundation’s efforts bore fruit as they successfully extended their assistance to 424 orphanages, providing a ray of hope to a staggering total of 13,818 underprivileged children.
The inception of DAF in 2022 sprang from a profound desire to continuously uplift others and create a robust framework for ongoing charitable endeavour that could positively impact the people of Nigeria. Over time, the foundation has achieved remarkable milestones, raising millions of Naira and effectively channeling these much-needed funds to numerous orphanages. In October 2022, the DAF reached out to eminent and compassionate individuals across Nigeria, appealing for their support in raising funds for the underprivileged across the nation. Thanks to the boundless generosity of people and corporations from diverse sectors and regions, the DAF achieved a remarkable feat, raising a substantial donation sum of $237 million Naira. This impressive result stands as a testament to the power of collective benevolence and reflects the shared vision of a better, more compassionate society.
