Ekiti women, youth beneficiaries laud UNDP violence empowerment

Graduating women and youths of a six-month skills acquisition programme at the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) have praised the capacity-building and empowerment of 200 victims of violence and crises in Ekiti State.

The graduation event for the beneficiaries was held at the Ekiti State Board of Technical and Vocational Education (ESBTVE) Training Centre, Ado-Ekiti, saw the filled hall of graduands celebrating the newfound opportunity in vocational empowerment and renewed capacity.


The empowerment scheme is being funded by the Norwegian government and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the ESBTVE.

The UNDP said that it reached out to the critical population through a rigorous screening process devoid of political interference.
