The embattled Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH) Complex in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Dr. Afolabi Muyiwa Owojuyigbe, has been reinstated to his position.
The reinstatement order came from the Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja, with resumption date fixed for June 30, 2023.
The development has elicited positive reactions from members of staff of the hospital, especially the local leadership of Joint Action Committee (JAC).
Meanwhile, normal activities have resumed at the hospital as patients, their relatives and visitors now conduct their businesses unhindered.
Owojuyigbe thanked all the stakeholders of the OAUTH, especially the ministry, for the confidence they have in him, promising a more robust relationship at the hospital.
