Eno orders Akwa Ibom LG chairmen to submit performance report

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State declared work-free days in the state for workers to farm.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has directed all 31 local government transition chairmen to submit reports on their achievements in the past six months in office.

The governor’s spokesperson, Ekerete Udoh, made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.

Udoh said that these “verifiable” reports will be used for “effective and more robust planning for the next phase of governance.”

This directive from Governor Eno demonstrates Eno’s commitment to accountability and improved service delivery in the state, according to Udoh.

The deadline for submitting these reports is May 20th, 2024, Udoh said.

He stated that all transition chairmen are instructed to channel their scorecards through the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Local and Chieftaincy Affairs, Frank Archibong.

“Their scorecard should be channeled through the Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Local and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong, and must reach His Excellency, the Governor, on or before May 20th, 2024,” Udoh said.
