FG reinstates commitment to improving working condition of staff

The Federal Government has said it will continue to improve conditions of service of civil servants through provision of good working environment and public facilities to enable them carry out their duties.

Minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made this known at the commissioning of the Kaduna State command headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

In a communiqué by NIS Public Relations Officer, Sunday James, Aregbesola said government is fully aware of the importance of a conducive environment for enhanced service delivery, reason it decided to build a befitting headquarters in each of the 36 states’ command.

NIS Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede, explained that a decent work environment is the least demand employees can make of their employers, reason the agency has continued to ensure that a minimum of two Command Office Complexes are commissioned each year since 2017.

Also, Babandede told officers to be conversant with Information Technology (IT) techniques for enhanced service delivery.

He said this at the 45th Superintendent Basic Course passing out ceremony of 446 senior Immigration officers from the Immigration Training School, Kano.
