Governor AbdulRazaq applauds Ekundayo’s election as ICSAN president

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed his congratulations to Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo on her election as the President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN). Governor AbdulRazaq described her victory as a significant milestone for women and a testament to her exceptional work ethic and dedication.


Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo, hailing from Obbo-Aiyegunle town in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, recently became the first female President of ICSAN, a highly respected professional body.

In a statement released by the Government House on Sunday, and signed by Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Governor AbdulRazaq commended Mrs. Ekundayo’s exceptional track record of excellence, consistency, and strong character, which has paved the way for her remarkable achievement.

He stated: “We are excited by the election of Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo as the first-ever female president of the prestigious professional body. But her emergence did not come as a surprise; it is a reward for her unbeatable track record of excellence, consistency, and character with which she has blazed the trails over the years.”

Governor AbdulRazaq conveyed his congratulations to Mrs. Ekundayo on behalf of the people and government of Kwara State. He acknowledged her as a source of pride for Kwara and the illustrious family of the late Prof. Funsho Adaramola, a renowned authority in international law.

Highlighting Mrs. Ekundayo’s legal expertise, the governor remarked: “This feat again shows clearly that Mrs. Ekundayo, herself a consummate lawyer, is indeed a chip off the old block, and we are glad to associate with her. We beseech God to continue to guide her and make her new leadership role a huge success.”
