Some unidentified gunmen have reportedly abducted a driver and the police orderly attached to the traditional ruler of Rumu-Elechi community, in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, Chief Cornwell Ihunwo.

The incident, which occurred along Eagle Island road, left the community in shock, amid concerns for the safety of the victims.

“We condemn the planned abduction of Chief Cornwell Ihunwo and call on the police to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident.

“Further findings revealed that Cornwell Ihunwo, the paramount ruler of Rumu-Elechi community, is the immediate younger brother of Victor Ihunwo, the former Chairman of Port Harcourt Local Council.”
