HFN continues webinar on revitalisation of dysfunctional primary health care centres

The Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN) will today, Thursday, April 20, 2023, continue the webinar series on revitalisation of dysfunctional Primary Health Care centres (PHCs) and deployment of solar system across target PHCs (Business cases 1&3).

Administrative Officer of HFN, Iquomma Uboh, in a statement, said: “The webinar will explore in detail the opportunities and how you can tap into these investment opportunities, expand your healthcare investment portfolio with support from the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria and partners.”

Meanwhile, HFN, had on April 6, 2023, in partnership with PharmAccess Nigeria, hosted an inaugural webinar that delved into the Nigerian Health Market Study Report.

The Market Study report launched by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria and coordinated by PharmAccess Nigeria serves as an update to a prior study conducted in 2015. The report provides valuable insights into the potential for private partnerships (PP) and PPP in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

The strategic objective of the seven-part webinar series is to increase the knowledge of participants on various business cases in the report and the opportunities available, inform action and investment activities of members interested in investing in Nigeria’s healthcare sector, and clearly define the financing, business and operating models for improved access to quality care.

During the opening remarks, Mrs. Njide Ndili, Vice-President of HFN and Country Director of PharmAccess, who also served as the session’s moderator, extended a warm welcome to all esteemed dignitaries and participants. She emphasised the importance of proactive and strategic investments to drive positive changes in the healthcare landscape of Nigeria and urged all participants to adopt a forward-thinking approach to capitalise on the evolving healthcare landscape by broadening their business horizons, taking calculated risks, and investing in initiatives that can strengthen the healthcare system.

The President of HFN, Dr. Pamela Ajayi, in her welcome address, highlighted the key objectives of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria, particularly in fostering business initiatives among its members and facilitating best practices and processes.

She encouraged all participants to delve into the market study webinar, which provides an overview of the study and the advantages it brings not only to the Nigerian market but also to the wider African market. Ajayi emphasised the importance of looking ahead beyond Nigeria, saying: “The African Continental Free Trade Area is set to open up new opportunities, making it possible to extend these services and practices across Africa.”
