Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has transmitted a list of fresh commissioner-designates to the Hou assembly for confirmation. Â Yusuf recently issued performance and evaluation forms to members of the State Executive Council (SEC), with a view to dropping those with poor profiles.Â

During the inauguration of the commissioners, the governor had clearly reminded them that their appointments were probationary; hence, subject to review. Â

Confirming the executive list at plenary on yesterday, the Speaker, Jibril Falgore, said the list contained names of four designates for legislative certification. Â

According to him, the list included Adamu Kibiya, Usman Aliyu, Abduljabbar Garko and Mustapha Kwankwaso. Mustapha is the eldest son of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Rabiu Kwankwaso. The assembly has reserved screening and confirmation of the nominees till next Tuesday.Â
