A young man, Tersugh Aondona, has married three wives on the same day in Benue State.
The late Afro beat music maestro, Fela, had caused a national stir in 1978 when he married 27 wives in one day.
In a micro re-enactment, Aondona set the town of Jato-Aka in Kwande Local Council of Benue State agog during a marriage ceremony between himself and three brides, at the Lante Kukwagh Comprehensive Secondary School, Jato-Aka.
Aondona, dressed in a white Agbada, was surrounded by the three women.
In the course of the celebration, which lasted from Wednesday evening to the early hours of yesterday, the giddy bridegroom, in a short speech, introduced his brides as Blessing, Nancy and Sulumshima.
The three ladies appeared to be quite at home, and at some point, took to the dance floor together to the admiration of guests.
Aondona, who seemed to relish the moment, freely interacted with friends and well wishers.
