Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) will hold its valedictory session tomorrow. The information is contained in an invitation, to the 36 state chief executives, issued by the body’s Director-General, Asishana Okauru.
The meeting, according to the correspondence, will be physical. Four earlier sittings had been virtual. Seventeen governors are leaving the forum, having completed their terms of office, while plans have reached an advanced stage to induct new and welcome returning ones between May 14 and 17.
The meeting would also effectively end the Governors Fayemi/Tambuwal leadership of the organisation. Another chairman will, in due course, emerge from among governors of the majority party. First termers are ineligible to vie for chairmanship of the forum.
