Nigeria Customs seizes 71.2 million worth items in Kebbi

Nigeria Customs Service, Kebbi State Command have arrested paraded 37-year-old Mustapha Aliyu old and seized goods worth N71.2.


Items seized are one Volvo truck (6tyres) fully loaded with 212 big-sized sacks and 202 small-sized sacks of donkey meat/skins, 2. 4 used vehicles comprising two Toyota Camry 2013 and 2 used Honda jazz 2005, 55 bales of second hands clothes, 4. 4, 925 of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), 13 bags of foreign paroled rice, 6. 5 kegs of Vegetable oil, one blue Volvo truck (6tyres) and one Toyota corolla ash as means of conveyance and others.

The Comptroller of Kebbi Command, Dr. Ben Oramalugo said the suspect was nabbed following a tipoff.


The Comptroller said that the command was putting measures in place to step up security to curtail illegal activities and prevent contraband.

The comptroller said that the command would also carry out a 100 per cent physical examination to prevent offensive goods.

“The duty paid value of the seized items is seventy-one million, two hundred and eighty-seven thousand, fifty-six Naira (N71,287,056). “We will continue to sanitise the system as we are battle ready to prevent all prohibited items from coming into our area of supervision.
