The Parish Priest of St. Jude Catholic Church, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos, Reverend Father Patrick Okoye, has urged the Catholic Men Organisation (CMO) of the church to demonstrate love to their family members.

He made the call recently as CMO members join their counterparts across the world to celebrate Fathers’ Day, and Feast of CMO Patron Saint.

Speaking at the event, the Parish Priest noted that Saint Joseph, the worker and husband of Blessed Virgin Mary was a caring father and worthy of emulation.

Okoye said love is all about providing and caring for their wives and children as responsible husbands, adding that Saint Joseph was a responsible husband, who cared for his family, despite the challenges he had.

Calling on the organisation to work towards making their families holy and devoid of hatred, jealousy, domestic violence, malice, among others, the priest enjoined CMO members to support church growth as they are the pillar of the church.

The Chairman of the Organisation, High Chief Virginus Ikwuka, who commended the efforts of members for participating in the event, said the programme was a spiritual exercise for spiritual growth of al members.

He said CMO is committed and determined to contribute to the growth of the church as head of the church.
