OlakzRide comes with affordable subscriptions – Olasupo Kuye

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OlakzRide, Mr Olasupo Kuye has said that the ride is not going to be doing the percentage billing, which he said a lot of drivers are finding difficult to work with.

Kuye stated that the ride would be on a subscription and that it’s going to be a very good subscription that drivers can easily benefit from.

The organisation’s CEO said that there’s going to be a post-paid weekly subscription and prepaid monthly subscription with a bit discount, adding that the postpaid weekly subscription is something all drivers can easily afford which means a driver is going to work all week and they pay after working for that week.

“Navigating the app is very easy and user friendly. You just have to download it from either Google Playstore or iOS store, apple. It has both the driver and passenger registration on one app, you just have to switch whichever you want to go on, if you want to be a driver you can just easily switch to driver.

“After you register as a driver you make sure you complete all your permits and then you start taking riders. As a rider, just register, put your phone number and you can book a ride, a driver is ready to pick you up.

He however, said that the inspiration of an e-hailing business came from his educational background because right from when he was back home in Nigeria and studied transportation management at the Federal University of Technology, Akure Ondo State and that he did his intern with ABC transport.

“They were the leading transport company in Nigeria, so I really studied both the educational and the technical parts of the organization and I see that the current e-hailing apps in Nigeria are not bringing opportunities instead they are taking advantage so me as a Nigerian I want to bring opportunities through this industry to everyone that partakes of it.

“In few years, I know currently we are starting in Lagos State and southwestern part of Nigeria but very soon we are going to be extending across Nigeria and while we extend across Nigeria, we will get to other countries in Africa.

“And our main focus is to make transportation cheaper and affordable for customers and drivers. It should take them from poverty land to class. That is the future of Ola’s ride. Ola’s ride wants to bring a lot of people from poverty line to class whereby you work, earn a good living, you can afford a good home and you can afford to send your children to school up to the apex level which is the university,” he said.
