OlaOluwa shuts down nightclub to focus on charity

Julius OlaOluwa, founder of the NGO Jovilius Heart Foundation is closing his Mercy Night Club in Festac, Lagos, Nigeria.

OlaOluwa expressed gratitude for his decade-long journey in the entertainment industry.

He stated, “It’s time to pursue my calling in charity.” He added, “Mercy Night Club has supported my family and the community for ten years.”

Originally from Houston, Texas, the club faced closure in 2018 due to internal issues among directors. It recently reopened after renovations but will now close for good. OlaOluwa acknowledged management challenges but clarified they were not the reason for the shutdown.

He said he and his partner plan to invest their profits into a real estate company, hoping for success similar to their nightclub venture.

“I want to be known for my impact on society, not just as a nightclub owner,” he said. Having spent 20 years in entertainment, he aims to build a sustainable legacy.

OlaOluwa said he is redirecting his resources into real estate. He emphasized that his NGO’s image is a priority, leading to the decision to close Mercy Night Club for the greater good.

He encouraged the public to support other local nightclubs in Festac.
