Olodo Bridge: Oluwo commends Makinde, Adeleke, Oyetola

Governor Seyi Makinde

The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has commended the

governors of Oyo, Osun and the serving Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Senator Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke(Osun) and former Osun State Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola respectively, for their commitment to rehabilitation of Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road.

Akanbi extended the commendation to Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for initiating the road construction with his Oyo State counterpart.

Oluwo made the commendation during his assessment visit to the site of Olodo Bridge construction.

He expressed satisfaction on the quality of job done at Olodo bridge by the contractor, Peculiar Ultimate Concern Limited.

The Managing Director of the construction firm, Abel Lanre Adeleke, assured commuters and road users that one of the two bridges would be opened for use next month.

“I am satisfied with the quality and speed of ongoing construction at Olodo Bridge. The road will promote economic interaction between Osun and Oyo states. It will benefit the ancient city of Iwo.”

“My regular visit to the site is to encourage the contractor. The bridge, if completed will aid commercial activities in Iwo and decimate hardship faced by traders of the two states.

“I commend Oyo and Osun State governors, Seyi Makinde and Senator Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke respectively, for their dedication to ensure reconstruction of Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road.

Equally, I extend the commendation to the former Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for initiating the road  project with his Oyo State counterpart, when he was at the governor of the state.

“The contractor, the Managing Director of Peculiar Ultimate Concern Limited, Lanre Adeleke, is executing an excellent project. The firm is known for quality construction.”
