Oni asks APC to start preparing handover note in Ekiti

Urges voters to get PVCs to vote out bad government
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni, yesterday asked the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government in the state to start preparing handover note.

Oni said the Social Democratic Party (SDP), as a political platform he brought to the state, represents progress.

The former governor, who officially declared for SDP, was welcomed into Ado-Ekiti via Ikere Road by a mammoth crowd of party admirers, who adorned the party’s vest carrying Oni’s portrait and a big horse, the logo of the party.

Following his entry, commercial activities were paralysed, while motorists were held up in traffic along Ado-Ikere-Akure road for hours.

Oni, while addressing the crowd, assured the people that they would take absolute ownership of his government as he did during his first term between 2007 and 2010 if elected.

Besides, he urged residents to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to vote out alleged bad government of APC and the main opposition PDP.

Oni promised to prioritise the security of the people, employment generation, commercial agriculture, good governance, affordable health services and massive road infrastructure.
