The stability of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) system and pursuit of Federal Government’s industrialisation agenda are top priorities, says the Acting Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive of NASENI, Mrs. Nonyem Onyechi.
On assumption of office on Tuesday, at the NASENI Headquarters, Abuja, Onyechi held a consultation meeting with the four principal officers in the agency, comprising coordinating directors at the headquarters.
After the meeting and briefing of the agency’s media team, the new helmsman disclosed that the meeting was frank and cordial, and that the principal officers agreed to work together as a team to move the agency to the next level of transformation.
“The stability of the agency to pursue the industrialisation agenda of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration remains our priority,” she said.
Onyechi, who took over from Prof. Mohammed Haruna, after an eventful decade in the saddle, pledged total commitment to the promotion of NASENI as one of the most visible legacies of the Buhari regime to be bequeathed to the next government.
Buhari, according to her, has demonstrated much benevolence to the agency by approving large funding and investment for the manufacture and fabrication of machines, as well as facilitating the technical support needed to facilitate industrialisation.
