The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a female kidnap suspect for abducting three school children in Ijegun area of Lagos.

The victims are four-year-old Sofiat, five-year-old Isreal and six-year-old Mustapha.
The headmaster simply identified as Segun had reported at Area M Area Command that some unknown persons invaded the school and kidnapped three pupils in the school premises.

The Command stated that upon the information, detectives swung into action and led a team to the scene.

Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the culprits were given a hot chase, where 40-year-old Akintola Alima who kidnapped the three pre-nursery kids was arrested and the children were rescued.

“The other unknown suspects escaped with an unregistered motorcycle on sighting the police. Investigation revealed that she abducted the children for criminal purposes and had a standby motorcycle rider, now at large, which was waiting for her to escape with the children before she was apprehended. The children have been reunited with their family and the suspect is in police custody,” he said.

Meanwhile, the police have denied reports that it re-arrested afro singer, Ibrahim Owodunni, aka Primeboy. A report had claimed that Primeboy, who was a friend of late rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as MohBad was arrested yesterday during his visit to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba, alongside Ayobami Fisayo aka Spending.

The report came after Primeboy spent hours than usual at the station. It will be recalled that one of Primeboy’s bail conditions was to visit the SCID every Tuesday since the commencement of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mohbad.

Clarifying, Hundeyin said: “He was not arrested or detained, he was at Panti to sign as one of the bail conditions after his arrest when Mohbad death. I think he was at the SCID longer than he used to be and that’s why it was claimed he was arrested. He has gone home, he’s not with us.”
