The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the imminent commissioning of 2×60MVA substation at Ede, Osun State before the end of 2024.
The MD/CEO, TCN, Engr Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, made this known during the visit by the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke to the corporate headquarters of TCN on Monday.
Adeleke has appealed to TCN to speedily complete the ongoing construction of a new transmission substation in the State.
He emphasised that the 2×60MVA transmission substation is a vital project, stating that its completion would enhance the economy of both Ede and the entire state.
Responding to his appeal, Abdulaziz assured that the substation which is 90 percent completed would be commissioned and energized before the end of this year as the DC Transmission Line to power it has been done.
