Ugomuanya scores 313 in UTME, wins Bishop’s award for excel

Master Ugochukwu Ugomuanya of Denis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS), Onitsha, has won the Niger Diocese of the Anglican Communion’s Bishop Award for Excellence for scoring 313 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Ugomuanya, with UTME registration number 2024405833679IF scored 67 per cent in English, 82 in Mathematics, 84 in Physics and 80 in Chemistry.


He was rewarded with a cash gift and certificate of excellence by Bishop Owen Nwokolo of Niger Diocese Anglican Communion.

Ugomuanya is also set to win DMGS’s Old Boys Association Worldwide Award for excellence.

Sixteen-year-old Ugomuanya is a native of Nkwelle Village in Ogidi, Idemili north local government area of Anambra State.
