Where will you be, when trumpet shall sound?

Youth choir ministering at the Easter retreat of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries held at the church’s headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos.
1st Thessalonians 5:22-23, “Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The signs of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ for the rapture of the saints are all very much around with us. There is no doubt in this present world, that nations are rising against nations, there are wars in many places, killing of innocent people for no just cause. There are pestilences and diseases in almost all parts of the world. Again, there are different prophets preaching doctrines different from the one our Lord Jesus Christ introduced to us during His ministry on this planet earth. All these are pointers to the fact that the end of all things are drawing near and the rapture of the saints will soon take place. There is need for this information to make the people running the heavenly race to be at alert and watchful at all times. It is in line that the Bible in Matthew 24:36-42 says, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37: But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38: For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. 39: And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40: Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41: Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

It is rather unfortunate that people, especially, those who call themselves Christians are taking things for granted, pursuing miracles and earthly wealth, not minding the future of their souls and where they will find themselves should the trumpet sound now. It will be rather unfortunate to be found in a beer parlour drinking alcohol, or you are found engaging in fighting. You may be committing fornication or adultery when the trumpet shall sound. As Christians in the race to heaven, we should be mindful of our relationship with God and what happens to us when the trumpet shall sound. At this time, we should not in any way indulge in any sinful activity so that our spirit and soul will be in tune with God. That is why the Bible advises in the lead scripture that we should abstain from all appearance of evil so that our body, spirit and soul will be preserved blameless for the rapture of the saints. It should be noted here that although it is true the words “soul” and “spirit” are sometimes used interchangeably in the scripture in reference to man (Job 7:11; 1st Corinthians 5:5), a distinction is observed in some passages. They are declared to be divisible (Heb.4:12) and are distinguished when used in reference to the burial and resurrection of the human body. The body is buried a natural body (GK. Soma psuchikon-soul-body) but raised a spiritual body (GK. Soma pneumatikon), 1st Cor. 15:44).

The difference between the two terms, therefore, lies on the fact that the spirit is that, which “knows” (1st Cor.2:11) and has the capacity of God-consciousness and communication with God (Job 32:8; Prov. 20:27) while the soul is the seat of the affections, desires, emotions, and the will of man (Matt. 11:29, 26:38; John 12:27). This simply put, implies that the soul is more attuned to the flesh. Again, the N.T word for soul (GK psuche) corresponds to the O.T word for soul (Heb. Nephesh; Deut 6:5;14:26; 1st Sam 18:1; 20:4,17) whereas, the N.T word for spirit (GK. Pneuma) is the same meaning as the O.T word for spirit (Heb. Ruach, Gen 41:8; 1st Cor. 5:5). At the death of man, the spirit, which is of God leaves and goes back to God, the source of its origin but the soul remains with the body waiting for the day of resurrection. Will that soul be found without spot and wrinkles when the trumpet sounds for the rapture?

The race to heaven calls for determination on the part of the participants. Whosoever wants to make heaven must take a serious decision to subdue the desires of the soul at the altar of that of the spirit in order to allow God have His way. Since the soul is the seat of fleshly desires and wants to make heaven, it must allow itself to be subdued by the spirit so that it will be in constant communication with God. When the body, soul and spirit are in right relationship with God, one is assured of making heaven when the trumpet sounds. The preparation for the rapture is holistic and it involves the body, soul and the spirit.

Life continues in Christ even after death for the people that are in complete obedient to the word of God. The Bible in 1st Corinthians 15:21-22 says, “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” The sin of Adam brought death to man while reconciliation through the death of our Lord Jesus Christ brought eternal life to all who believe. It should be noted that Adam is a contrasting type of Christ. The first man, Adam, was made a living “soul” (Gen. 2:7) by deriving life from another, God. The last Adam, Jesus Christ was a life-giving spirit. Far above deriving life, He was Himself the fountain of life, and He gave that life to others (Jn1:4, 5:21). In the origin, the first man was of earth, earthly; the second man is the Lord from heaven (1st Cor. 15:47). Each is the head of creation and these are also in contrast. In Adam all die but in Christ shall all be made alive. The Adamic creation is flesh whereas the new creation in Christ is spirit (Jn. 3:6). We shall all strive to be in Christ when the trumpet shall sound so that we shall be made alive eternally even after the physical death.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came and died for all so that all human being created by God will have eternal life in Him but whoever fails to take this golden opportunity offered by Jesus Christ will have himself to blame when the trumpet shall sound. A clear illustration is given in Luke 14:16-21, which says, “Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: 17: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. 18: And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.19: And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. 20: And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. 21: So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.”

The kingdom of God is for all and our Lord Jesus Christ by His sacrificial death has opened the door of heaven and given invitation to all to wed with Him in the last supper. As many as will live their life, according to the will of God by being at the right place at the right time will be in that party; but anyone who decides to give excuse and go to a wrong place will miss the party and eternal life in heaven. Eternal life is not the exclusive right of anyone but whosoever accepts the invitation by giving his life to Christ will make heaven at the end of this earthly life. As you read this message open your mind to the invitation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ and live right, definitely you will wed with Christ in the end.

Spirit Of Death Exorcised, Beware Of Attachment And Weave-on

My name is Sister Chioma Umoke. I reside in Abuja and joined the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries in 2017.

In 2014, I lost my daughter. After three weeks of my daughter’s death, I lost her father, that is, my husband. In 2016, my sister and mother were buried on the same day in December. During that period, a sister invited me to a crusade held at Mgbidi in Imo State, and within that period, some families wanted to visit and commiserate with me but I ignored all that and went to the crusade. As we were coming back after the crusade, a car failed brake and hit the back of our vehicle where I was sitting with my children, though nothing happened to us. While at home, I received a revelation and in that revelation a giant man came out from the ground and said he wanted to know who was mentioning his name. Hitting his chest and he said: “Anywhere you hide, I will see you” and my reply to him was that, I will tell my pastor. Quickly, he disappeared. I did not know what the man meant but to the glory of God since that time till now, there was no death recorded in my family. It is now over six years, God of Chosen is so great. Praise the Lord!

Moreover, after my baptism and immersion in the water, in the night, I saw myself in a thick darkness. There was no light there, so I began to shout that I am a Chosen and as this was going on, the place started shaking terribly and people were surprised. Immediately, light came to the place. Praise the Lord!

When I heard our General Pastor’s message on attachment and weave-on, among others, it really touched me. So I decided to pack them in one place in the house and after the dream of that darkness I gathered all the attachments and weave-on and burnt them. As it was burning, I heard the voice of a woman crying and lamenting, I didn’t understanding the meaning, but my joy is that God really did something with the burning of that attachment. Praise the Lord!

I pray for the General Pastor, his family and all the Chosen members all over the world, heaven at last. Praise the Lord!
