Xtralarge Farms & Resort is set to train, mentor and empower 1,000 women to be millionaires in 90 days in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
Chief Executive Officer, Dr.Seyi Davids and Group Managing Director, Dr. Moji Davids disclosed this at Agritech City in Ogun State.
They noted the firm would train and mentor participants to be certified tourism professionals and healthy living advocates to empower them to earn millions in the next 90 days.
Mrs Davids said: “We plan to empower 1,000 Nigerian women with the mouth-watering sum of N10M through effective, well thought out training, capacity building empowerment programmes in both the fertile fields of agriculture and tourism. This is part of our commitment towards supporting women as we mark this year’s IWD.
“The programme will help the women to become certified tourism professionals and healthy living advocates with this Xtralarge Farms initiative. This is capable of putting into their hands between two to ten million naira revenue within the next 90 days.
“There is a popular saying which states that give a man a fish and you will be feeding him but teach him how to fish and he will not only be able to feed himself every day but other people around him. That is what we are doing.
“We do not believe in dashing women money but empowering them; training them, building the capacity in them so that they can add value to their lives and others in their communities.”
On her part, Mrs Davids added that the offer is open to all, saying that the mentorship training is free.All women interested in the programme are qualified. There are no special criteria and it is free-absolutely free, so far the woman is ready to give out a helping hand to others in their communities. Interestingly, the programme does not end after the 90 days, as they keep earning and adding value to other people’s lives.
“We will teach them what they need to do to get themselves financially grounded after 90 days. After 90 days, they keep earning, adding value and keep making money.
“We do not believe in just giving money to women, we believe in building capacity in them to impact lives and add value to their community, while making money in the process.”
